Who we are
DevEnterprise Software Limited ("we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15160932, with its registered office at Suite 4434a, 60 Tottenham Court Road, London, W1T 2EW, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website, deventerprise.com.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected] or by post at the address above.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website only. Our products, ScrAPI (scrapi.tech) and Directory Monitor (directorymonitor.com), are provided through their own websites and applications and have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
What we collect and why
This website has no user accounts, no forms and no payment facilities. The personal data we process through it is limited to the following.
Technical data when you visit
When you request a page, our hosting provider and Cloudflare, the network service that serves the site and protects it from abuse, automatically process your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time of each request. This is necessary to deliver the site to you and to keep it secure.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Google services, only if you accept
On your first visit the site shows a notice asking whether you accept two Google services. Until you accept, neither is loaded, no Google cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page.
Google Analytics helps us understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and the approximate location, device and browser type of visitors. If you accept, Google sets cookies on your device (see Cookies) and processes the data on our behalf under Google's data processing terms. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising and we do not link analytics data to anything that identifies you by name.
Google Maps provides the map of our registered office in the company section. If you accept, the map loads when you scroll to it; if you do not, the address and a plain link to Google Maps are shown instead, with a "Show map" button that loads the map for that visit only. When the map loads, Google may set cookies and collect information about your device and how you use the map, as described in Google's privacy policy.
Lawful basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003), which you can withdraw at any time.
Email and other correspondence
If you email, call or write to us, we keep your name, contact details and the content of the correspondence so that we can respond, keep a record of our dealings and, where relevant, take steps towards or perform a contract with you.
Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)); otherwise our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and keeping business records (Article 6(1)(f)).
Cookies and similar technologies
The site itself sets no cookies. It remembers your choice about Google services in your browser's local storage (an item named deventerprise-analytics), which is strictly necessary to honour that choice and holds nothing else. Cookies are set only by the Google services described above, and only after you accept them or show the map:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps session state | 2 years |
Various (for example NID) | google.com, when the map loads | Google Maps functionality and Google's own purposes | Up to 6 months |
You can delete cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Declining does not affect your use of the site.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with the service providers that help us run this website, each of which processes it under contract and on our instructions:
- our web hosting provider, which stores the site and its server logs;
- Cloudflare, Inc., which serves the site and protects it from attacks and abuse;
- Google LLC, for Google Analytics and Google Maps (only if you accept them, or show the map).
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for marketing. We may disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a court or regulator, or where necessary to protect our legal rights.
International transfers
Cloudflare and Google are based in the United States and may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law: the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified under it, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
- Server and security logs are kept for a limited period for security monitoring and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymised.
- Google Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months, after which Google deletes the user-level data automatically. Aggregated reports that do not identify anyone may be kept longer.
- Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter and to keep a record of our dealings, and no longer than six years after our last contact unless a legal obligation or dispute requires otherwise.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data erased; to restrict or object to our processing; to receive data you provided to us in a portable form; and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it (withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew). To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and protected by Cloudflare. Access to the systems and correspondence described in this policy is limited to the people who need it to do their work. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change the services we use to run the site. The current version is always published at this address with the date it was last updated. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
